Welcome! I received my Ph.D. from the University of Denver in 1986 and joined the Department of Psychology faculty at the University of Kentucky in 1988. I have been very involved in undergraduate education at UK. I received the Chancellor's Award for Teaching in 1994 and 1998 and the College of Arts and Sciences Outstanding Teacher Award in 2006. In addition, I am currently serving a three-year term as a Chellgren Center on Undergraduate Education Endowed Professor. My primary research interest is jurors' reactions to various types of abuse, including child abuse, elder abuse, and domestic abuse. I also have a research interest in understanding the effect of instructions to forget on memory (i.e., intentional forgetting). |
